There has been an unexpected benefit to my decision of having a group of \u201creaders\u201d review the manuscript for <\/span><\/span><\/span>Chalice<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Several people I asked to read the book said \u201cYou should ask so-and-so, they read all the time. They know books and would give you really good feed back.\u201d So I did. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And w<\/span><\/span><\/span>hat these \u201cstrangers\u201d have had to say has been difficult to hear and encouraging \u2014 in other words, exactly what I wanted.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEnjoying the language but people don\u2019t talk like that; I love the fact that it is so well-thought out; I can\u2019t get past thinking of it as dialogue; great job presenting conflicting values; maybe there should be a more dramatic event in the first 30 pages that allows them to open up to each other more quickly; I really dislike one of the main characters by page 7\u2026 \u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Informative perspective and often page specific. Immensely valuable.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Even better, these \u201cstrangers\u201d are interesting, funny, thoughtful, direct and engaged in what is important to them: Music. Cars. Books. Wonderful people I would not have \u201cmet\u201d if not for this process.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
